52 weeks of happy (33/52)

I want to say a big thank you to Jen this week for starting 52 weeks of happy.

In answer to your recent ponderings Jen, there are times when I struggle to find happies that are new and exciting but I have realised that even though the simple things which bring me happiness are often similar, recording them here makes me appreciate them more.

Our two boys, as thick as thieves really enjoying each others company.

A wildflower posy gathered on a lakeside walk.

My first origami crane, it might be the first of many. I loved figuring it out.

Happy mail. A parcel from the lovely Jane from teawagontales. The best kind of post.

So that's it for this week. I wonder what next week will bring.

Thanks so much for reading and for your lovely comments.

  5. Hello Bee!

Possibly the best simple pleasure in my opinion is seeing our children so happy in each others' company: I agree with you.

I just wanted to pop in and wish you a very happy week.

    1. Hi Ada ... I think the wallpaper would be too thick as there are lots of folds ... this is a little square of scrapbook paper ... it worked okay but next time I will use origami paper ... it is much thinner and probably much better ... Bee xx

  16. Love your origami crane - it would be such fun to make a flock of them in different colours. And the posy is so pretty. But best of all is that photo of your boys - it is really lovely. And yes, I struggle to think of happy things each week, and I worry that mine are repetitive, but like you the pleasure is in the remembering, recording and sharing of those happy things. xx

  18. beautiful crane! well done :)
i love these posts. it really is the little things (tiny, tiny details) that make our days that much more special. we just need to be aware. Your posts inspired me to start positing about my own happy little things - "la vie en rose" is what I title them; scheduled to post one next week (it's been a while). It really is a great way to slow down the pace of every day life and take notice of these beautiful moments, things, etc that make us smile - and it's important to really take a moment and appreciate them!
Thanks for your inspiration. Have a lovely weekend. x

  19. What a lovely idea - one of the things that I love about blogging, is to look back and see how much I have accomplished, I tend to be juggling so many different things that I feel like nothing ever gets finished, since I started my blog I can see that even amongst the chaos of managing a young family I do sometimes manage to achieve things!
