emerging

Oh, where to start. I suppose I just need to jump right in. It feels like a long, long time since I gathered my thoughts and recorded them here. I lost my voice for a while. But now I am emerging like a butterfly from it's cocoon. Maybe not so beautiful, but most definitely eager.

Life has been a whirlwind since I last posted. School concerts and presentations, a stay in Children's Ward for suspected appendicitis and the arrival of my best friend's baby boy. School broke up at the end of June for nine weeks of summer break.

We've been to beautiful Pembrokeshire, where we had a really lovely holiday. So, summer for us is well under way. We have plans for picnics, barbecues, adventures and fun.

I'm hoping to find time to pop back here more regularly to record some of the memories. I'm also looking forward to catching up with all your lovely blogs now that life isn't so crazy.

What are your plans for summer break? Wishing you all fun times, whatever you're up to.

  3. My girls broke up today, started well with a snack picnic in the park for an hour and a half but just finished dealing with my first tantrum from girl number two for the next 7 weeks. There will be 48 more to go!! Jo x

  4. Wow, nine weeks! Oh to be a child again...
It sounds like you've been busy but with nice things (other than the hospital bit).
I hope you have a great summer and it's nice to see you here again!

  7. Hello, how lovely to find a post from you. I rather miss that sense of possibility that the start of the school holidays brings ... but the 'littlest kid' in this house is the Farmer Boy, who dropped out of uni two years ago now (can it really be that long?) so until the first grandbaby gets a lot bigger (he's only 8 weeks old) the school year will no doubt continue to pass us by almost unnoticed. Here's hoping your summer holds lots more fun :o)

  10. I love your photo. I keep pursuing butterflies with my camera and they keep eluding me! Now that the buddleia in front of the kitchen door is in full flower surely I can do better. Enjoy your holidays. How lovely to have them stretching before you.

  11. That's such a beautiful photo. I'm sorry you've been so rushed (and how worrying about the hospital visit, I hope all's ok now) but it's good to see you back here and finding your voice again.I didn't realise your holidays were nine weeks, my goodness! Six feels like long enough here. x
