lovely new wool

Friday again.  I do love the weekend.  I'm planning to flex my crafting mojo tomorrow and catch up on a few projects which seem like they have been forever in the pipeline.

The weather has been lovely for the last few days and happiness abounds.

I had a little splurge during the week on some new wool including, the perfect pink wool for my granny blanket and I got some other lovely colours too.

We're going to Dublin Flea Market on Sunday.  I've never been before but I can't wait to see what it's like. We will be making a day of it with the wee ones, fingers crossed for some lovely sunshine.

Hope you all have a lovely Friday and a fun filled weekend.

    1. No problem ... I love reading your posts ... I am constantly giggling to myself ... my husband must think I have lost the plot :)

The pink wool is for the blanket I've started but the others are destined to become a blanket made up of smaller grannies ... notice a recurring theme here!

  6. Hi there Bee, thanks for stopping by my blog and your kind words. Glad to have found you! I love the idea of one huge granny square blanket. I am new to crochet and am still doing granny squares until I feel brave enough to try rows and other things. But I love making those little squares, it's so relaxing.

Glad to hear you've got some pink yarn - your other post about the dog weeing on the pink yarn did make me laugh!

    2. I am making a cushion - I've done enough squares for one side. 36 down 36 to go! I'm really loving making it - I will definitely show it off on the blog when it's (finally) complete! x

    1. The yarn is dk from Stylecraft and Woolcraft ... it's acrylic ... as I am learning I thought I would opt for cheaper yarns to start ... is acrylic okay? Bee x

  10. Loving the colours of yarn! Just seen your comment above, I use acrylic a lot for things that will be washed lots, you can get some really nice ones that are soft and stylecraft is a good'un :-)

    Have a good week
