the elusive monster softie

Apologies to all of you who are waiting with bated breath for the unveiling of the elusive monster softie ... I jest, of course!  But I am currently awaiting a delivery of some gorgeous red fleece, so the softie is on the back burner for a while.

On a happier note, I have been trying and failing to embark on a crochet adventure.  I have attempted without much success to complete a granny square under the guidance of a lovely old lady at my upholstery class. I may have tried her patience as she kept doing it for me!

I have since found a brilliant tutorial from little tin bird for granny squares and have managed over the last few evenings to create a reasonable, if I do say so myself, granny square.  I intend to continue until my wool runs out and hopefully I'll have a pretty blanket at the end.  Here's hoping, anyway.

  1. Well done on your crochet, it's looking lovely :)
The house shelf from calico crafts you asked about is in the chipboard section under display cases ..have fun xxxx

    1. Hi Jane

Thanks a million for that - I was looking under woodcraft and didn't even notice the chipboard heading - sometimes I can't see for looking :-)

      Thanks again, Bee x

  2. again:)
re your question about replying to comments..I'm not sure..I worry that I miss things like that..the only way I find comments from older posts is because they get moderated after so many days...sorry I'm not much help am I?

    1. Hello Jane

Lovely to hear from you again - thanks for taking the time to reply. I am a little green about all the technical stuff to do with blogging. But am willing to learn :-) !!

I thought you might like to know I found another little wooden house on amazon, it's a bit bigger than the other one!

Sadly I have no idea how to send you the link! You can find it by googling house shaped shelving system.

      Bee xx

Thank you so so much for taking the time to visit .... it's always really lovely to hear from you.
