The happiest people don't have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything.
Hope you are all happy this week. Here are my happy things.
A gingerbread person my eldest decorated at school. He is reading the story and the teacher brought them in so the little ones could get creative. I say person because I can't quite identify gender due to the placement of the Smarties.
The vibrant red of these dogwood stems, more striking without leaves.
A beautiful rose blooming happily on a very frosty Sunday morning.
And enjoying doughnut muffins. They went down a treat with the little ones. I used Gilly's recipe. Thanks for sharing.

Jenny
Given the Smarties at chest height I'm guessing that's a gingerbread gal ;)
ReplyDeleteDoughnut muffins sound and look too good not to try and the gingerbread lady/man is precious, it's so cute when kids decorate their biscuits and cakes - the Year 1s I teach weekly cookery classes with love nothing more than sticking milky buttons or silver balls on everything!
ReplyDeleteHi Bee, have sent you an email x
ReplyDeleteThe red dogwood stems are really breathtaking. Those muffins look good. There is an excellent Nigella recipe for jam doughnut muffins which my kids (and I!) adore - little jam filled cakes dipped in melted butter then rolled in sugar. Heart attack heaven! xx
ReplyDeleteDoughnut muffins *drool* The dogwood stems are stunning! x
ReplyDeleteI love that gingerbread man - it's the kind of make over my youngest would do.
ReplyDeleteNina x
