No, not a post about engines, you will probably be relieved to hear but one about robots.
As mum to two boys who have cleverly copped on to their mother's love of making, I constantly receive requests for things little boys love. Monsters, beetles and dinosaurs.
The latest was robots. So this little appliqued robot came into being. I'm not sure what to do with him though.
I was thinking of framing him for their room but I don't know. They are quite taken with him and this means both could enjoy him.
I wonder should he say something. I can't decide.
I am feeling so much better these past few days and want to say a huge thank you for the lovely comments on my last post. They made my day. I'm sure all the positive vibes helped me get rid of the bugs.
He's great Bee! We went to the v&a childhood museum today and my boys became rather obsessed withy very similar mr robot just like yours! X
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen ... I'm sure the V&A was a great day out ... boys always love a robot :) ... even the big ones ... Bee xx
DeleteHi Bee, he's lovely, he could be saying 'hello earthlings' or something like that! maybe a cushion? or sure you'll think of something nice, Heather x
ReplyDeleteThat would be cute ... will definitely have to do something with him or the boys will never forgive me :) ... have a lovely weekend ... Bee xx
Deletehe's gorgeous....think a picture or a cushion would both be brilliant....i'm a bit of a robot fan myself....i'd quite like one of those lovely retro tin ones....so clever of you x
ReplyDeleteOh yeah ... I love those too ... Mr F is a fan on tinplate toys but they are so hard to find here ... enjoy your weekend ... Bee xx
DeleteHe's so sweet, Bee! Love his Argyle outfit! And at the very least, he deserves to be given a name :-) What do your boys think: wall hanging / cushion?
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend,
Xx
Thanks Gilly and you're right about the name ... we name everything else here so I will have to ask the boys to get their thinking hats on :) ... have a lovely weekend ... Bee xx
DeleteHe is a brilliant looking robot. Hope your feeling better now. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteThank you and I am ... hope all is well with you and yours ... Bee xx
DeleteHe's great! I always struggle with designing stuff for boys. I immediately imagined him saying "beep!" for some reason! Sorry to hear you've been poorly - wishing you a speedy convalescence.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sharon ... I'm feeling much better now ... I'm seeing the 'beep' too ... hope you are settling back in at home ... Bee xx
DeleteHe's brilliant Bee, you've done a great job. I think it would look great framed as a picture for their room. Glad your feeling so much better. xx
ReplyDeleteThanks Caroline ... he was a little bit of fun for when I was resting ... he will probably end up in a frame I think ... Bee xx
Deletehehe! he is very very cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate ... have a lovely week ... Bee xx
DeleteLove him Bee! Glad you are feeling better. I'd let them play with him for a while and no doubt they'll move on to something else, then frame him! He'll look great on the wall. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen ... it is lovely to be back in the land of the living :) ... his future is mapped out now I think ... into a frame ... Bee xx
DeleteHe's great! You are a top notch Mum! :) x
ReplyDeleteThanks Ada ... Bee xx

Hello there!
ReplyDeleteLike it a lot. I agree with miss Daisy, crying out to be cool boy cards or postcards. I'd buy one. Xxx
Thanks so much Betty ... will definitely try out Miss Daisy's idea ... Bee xx
DeleteThink he would look great in a frame then you can all enjoy him! x
ReplyDeleteHe would look great in a frame or maybe on a cushion, but I'd tend towards a frame - my boys believe all cushions belong on the floor and I would hate to recommend that fate for your robot. He's too cool. Glad you're feeling better btw.x
ReplyDeleteI know that cushion problem ... we have it here too ... thanks ... hope you are feeling better too ... love your crochet ... Bee xx
DeleteBee, he's perfect! I think if he's saying anything it should just be a cheerful "hello!". He'd look great framed or on a cushion. Glad to hear you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteGillian x
