52 weeks of happy. Week 17, simple things making me smile this week.
This weekend, exploring. We really needed fresh air after being housebound due to freezing temperatures and grey sleet for the last few weekends.
The look of pure glee on Mr F's face today as he unpacked an early birthday present. A drum kit. He just couldn't wait until June.
A catch-up lunch with one of my very best friends.
Seeing the first snowdrops peek through the soil, announcing spring.
As always I am linking to Jen at little birdie. What has made you happy this week?
Sounds like a lovely week! I've been very happy to leave the house without fighting through snow or slipping and sliding on ice too! I'm also happy as my little one started clapping today and it is so sweet!x
ReplyDeleteOh how lovely Helen ... clapping is so cute ... it is amazing watching as babies learn ... it is also lovely to get outdoors ... roll on spring ... Bee xx
Deleteah! I saw the first little snowdrops just yesterday..It is such a cheery sign of things to come..and such delicate little beauties they are too. It certainly has been nice to be able to get out and about after so much grotty weather. You really have to seize the day when it shows even a glimpse of sun! x
ReplyDeleteMost definitely ... first glimmer of sunlight and we're off ... hope this weekend is nice too ... Bee xx
DeleteWeek 17 already! What a lovely week - and you are very brave letting a drum kit into your house! x
ReplyDeleteThanks Anna ... I think I might rue the day ... but he was so thrilled I couldn't resist getting it for him ... Bee xx
DeleteAwww the Snow drops are peeping through here also, Bee!
ReplyDeleteThat makes me happy, could Spring be around THAT corner...So good to get little ones out to explore and let go of ~ all that energy!Have a lovely rest of week!
Love Maria x
We definitely needed some energy release Maria ... we were all going a little stir crazy :) ... wishing you a lovely week too ... Bee xx
DeleteAnother musician! Luckily we don't have drum kits (yet!), but we do have a noisy variety (can you tell I'm the only one who doesn't play anything!) :) x
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen the snow drops yet so will have to go see if any are peeping out yet. Your catch up lunch sounds lovely! just what I need, have a good week, Heather x
ReplyDeleteHey nice blog here! Visit mine and let me know what you think, maybe we could follow each other!

I am desperate for my bulbs to flower, the garden looks so grey and need some colour.
ReplyDeleteRe the drum kit - will it be kept in the house? If so, you are much more tolerant than me!
Gillian x
Yes it is in the house ... it may need to be moved out to the garage if I can't tolerate the noise though :) ... we're lucky to live in the countryside so at least he won't be annoying the neighbours ... Bee xx
DeleteWowsers, a drum kit eh? We have bought one for Louis' 8th birthday this Friday - against all my instincts it has to be said but hey, these male types have to bash stuff and make noise right? I'm sure it will be fine....

I love seeing little signs of life peeking through the cold and grey at this time of year. It seems like it's been raining non-stop here for days. Well, it has, so that's probably why... X
ReplyDeleteHi Anna ... we have the dreary rain too with odd flashes of blue skies ... I can't wait for the spring sunshine to appear ... the snowdrops are a good sign ... I think ... enjoy the rest of your week ... Bee xx
DeleteLovely! It's so nice to get out and about even in the winter x
ReplyDeleteSounds like a very happy week! You've all been stuck in the house because it's too cold and we've been stuck inside because it's too hot :-)
