Week 16. Joining lovely Jen with her 52 weeks of happy. My four simple happy things.
I seem to be focussing on indoor happiness at the moment. The weather has been so dreary here. Grey, bitterly cold, sleet filled days with no proper snow. Not really suitable weather for being oudoors enjoying nature.
Roll on spring and all the joy it brings. So my happies this week.
Homemade creamed rice pudding with mixed berry sauce.
Finding random groups of tiny people all over the house. 'All the bodies ... they're my friends' to quote the little fairy.
All five of us squashed on the sofa, snuggled under blankets, watching films. A lovely way to spend Sunday afternoon.
The first creme egg of the season. Mr F and I have a tradition. Whoever spies the first creme eggs brings two home to be enjoyed with a cup of tea. We've been doing it since we met and I'm convinced it gets much earlier each year.
Wishing you all a happy week.
Ooooh, rice pud - one of my favourites! Always thought my gran made THE most delicious rice pud, and I think I was about 12 when I discovered all she did was open a can of Ambrosia Creamed Rice!!

I love rice pudding and everything that has rice in it. I love how versatile rice is. You can make everything with it! And I love creamy eggs too, and I don't trust people who doesn't like chocolate.
ReplyDeleteYour rice pudding looks delicious, I love rice pudding although have never made it myself. My daughter loves gnomeo and Juliet. In fact she went through a little phase not long ago of wanting to watch it all the time. We borrowed it from the library so often I was starting to get a little embarrassed and in the end we bought her her own copy!

Hello Bee. This post did make me smile as we have the very same random groups of little people all over our house! Playmobil figures, peppa pig figures, mice, the princess from the fort - they all hang out together on bookshelves and windowsills and stairs all over the house!
ReplyDeleteYour rice pudding looks fantastic. Have a good week lovely lady - I hope that it either snows or the sun comes out - anything but grey sleet.
