I've missed recording the simple happy things which have given me pleasure in the everyday. 52 weeks of happy was a great project however when I had completed the year I decided not to continue. Instead I intend to occasionally record my simple pleasures, the little things that make me happy. Enjoying taking a moment to appreciate the simple things. There has got to be good in that.
:: Tulips. I love them.
:: Hama bead fun for me as well as the little ones.
:: Lunchtime at the library.
Simple pleasures. Making me smile.
What lovely pleasures and nice to record and remember as days pass so quickly.
ReplyDeleteWe've been a bit obsessed with Hama beads lately as well and I keep finding them sprinkled over the floor. How lovely to visit the library at lunchtime, I'm a regular visitor too. Is that a book on the shelf called Manly Food?!
ReplyDeleteYes - I miss doing nappies like this too. With you on Hama beads but my daughter too grown upfor such things in her view.
ReplyDeleteWhoops - that should read happies, not nappies. Certainly don't miss those!
ReplyDeleteLovely simple things, Bee - can't wait for tulip season too.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy day,
Xx
My girls love Hama beads, their ideas are endless. Jo x
ReplyDeleteMy little boy got creative with Hama beads when in hospital recently ... I got quite hooked on them too!
ReplyDeleteHooray for the simple things Bee, I love my library too and we always forget about the joy of hama beads now that Alice is a teen, I am sure she has loads of them stashed away somewhere!
ReplyDeleteThe simple pleasures are the best kind! I miss the 52 weeks of happy posts too, they gave such a nice rhythm to blogging. I love tulips, and hama beads, and books so thank for you sharing your snippets of joy with me. xx
ReplyDeleteLovely, lovely post. Tulips are my favourite, indeed. And the library shelf made me smile, I love the cookbook shelf! Chrissie x
ReplyDeleteTulips are smiles that grow in the garden....I love them too, but ours are not out yet!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images as usual to be found on this beautiful blog..D xxxxxxxxxx
I wasn't sure if I'd miss reading the '52' posts as they were appearing on a fair few of the blogs I read, but actually I do miss them, they nearly always provoked a smile, and often a useful thought. Like today ... I really need to return my library books!
ReplyDeleteTulips - me too! Especially those lipsticky coloured ones...
ReplyDelete'Lunchtime at the Library' sounds like a romantic novel set in the 1930s. I'd read it!

ReplyDeleteLove your simple pleasures - I made the same decision about my happy posts. Less structure and more spontaneous. Hope you have a fab weekend x
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, keep on smiling! :) x
ReplyDeleteWow, your library has amazing selection of recipe books! I've seen a lot about hama beads on blogs I follow but if the craze has hit SA then I'm totally unaware of it. Look like fun though! x
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on Hama beads - get everywhere but good fun
ReplyDeleteI hope that it is sunny in your part of the world today
